Kate had the opportunity to be part of the creation in four Matthew Bourne productions, including Sleeping Beauty; The Red Shoes; Romeo+Juliet; and The Midnight Bell. She has performed in 10 different productions for New Adventures, and has performed over 30 different roles, including lead roles in Sleeping Beauty (Aurora), Romeo+Juliet (Juliet, Nurse), The Red Shoes (Vicky Page), The Car Man (Rita), and Cinderella (Cinderella).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Before working for New Adventures, Kate collaborated with a range of classical and contemporary companies and choreographers across the UK, Europe, and the USA.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; link_option_url=&#8221;https:\/\/katelyons.co.uk\/?page_id=151&#8243; link_option_url_new_window=&#8221;on&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p>Alongside her performing career, Kate has also been working as a Ballet coach and Rehearsal Director. Kate spent a few years guesting and working full time at Central School of Ballet as Ballet Tutor and Rehearsal coach, working with students of all ages to help them understand the fundamentals of ballet technique. Kate has a passion for helping her students to grow as technically capable dancers, but also as self assured, resilient and brave artists and performers.<\/p>\n<p>For London City Ballet, Kate has had the great privilege of working on repertoire by Kenneth Macmillan and George Balanchine, and has been endlessly influenced by being in the room with many of the world&#8217;s most inspiring choreographers and stagers, including Alexei Ratmansky, Amar Ramasar, Laura Morera, Ashley Page, Deborah Wingert and Robert LaFosse.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.2&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; link_option_url=&#8221;https:\/\/katelyons.co.uk\/?page_id=153&#8243; link_option_url_new_window=&#8221;on&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p><span>Kate now works as freelance Dance Artist and Ballet Tutor.
